Vayudh

Vayudh is an Indian defence technology company specializing in indigenous unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) systems, nano surveillance drones, and autonomous swarm technologies for defence and security applications. Incubated at IIT Delhi, the company develops, designs, manufactures, tests, and deploys complete UAV systems with in-house capabilities across hardware, electronics, firmware, software, AI, and ground control systems. Its focus is on reducing dependence on foreign technology and creating secure, mission-ready aerial systems for the Indian Armed Forces. Vayudh's flagship ATRI is a sub-250-gram nano surveillance drone designed for reconnaissance and intelligence missions, including route and point reconnaissance, pre-deployment surveillance, situational awareness, and battle damage assessment. The company has also demonstrated tactical drone swarm capabilities, including coordinated multi-drone operations, and has conducted high-altitude testing under Project Tawang. Its systems incorporate features such as AES-256 encryption, autonomous flight capabilities, and indigenous communication and control technologies. Beyond complete UAV platforms, Vayudh offers indigenous drone components, including flight controllers, electronic speed controllers, GNSS/GPS modules, communication systems, and related electronics. It also develops VayuSim, a VR-based UAV simulator, and an indigenous ground control station. Through vertically integrated R&D and manufacturing, Vayudh aims to strengthen India's defence self-reliance by delivering reliable, secure, scalable, and field-tested unmanned systems for surveillance, reconnaissance, and other mission-critical applications.
