Infosys, BP sign MoU to strengthen relationship
, one of the leading Indian IT services companies and BP, the global energy company, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen their long long-standing relationship, spanning over two decades.
According to a statement, the MoU demonstrates the intent for Infosys to be BP’s primary partner for end-to-end application services, including development, modernisation, management, and maintenance.
Infosys and BP will together focus on modernising the latter's application landscape to enhance business resilience, drive value from operational efficiencies, and build more adaptive and agile processes to speed up innovation. The companies will continue to explore more avenues for bp to advance sustainability, DE&I, and other social impact initiatives.
“We are now jointly working towards enhancing digital maturity, productivity, and driving innovation for BP," said Infosys CEO Salil Parekh. "Together, we will leverage the power of digital technologies and advancements in AI to deliver solutions that will help to transform bp’s operational landscape and drive business growth.”
Wipro to adopt VMware’s multi-cloud management platform
, the global cloud technology company, is selected by Wipro to provide an end-to-end secure multi-cloud management platform to automate workflows to increase efficiency through self-service IT capabilities, optimise costs, and ensure zero-day compliance with required cybersecurity standards.
Wipro will leverage VMware’s platform across various requirements, simplifying, formulating workflows, and automating processes, improving governance, increasing self-service IT efficiencies, enhancing visibility, and reliable compliance.
The platform is expected to bring multiple functionalities like click-to-deploy mechanism, multi-cloud automation and governance, multi-cloud cost visibility and optimisation, and compliance for any new application workload spun up as a part of the onboarding process.
Experion Technologies plans overseas expansion
Experion Technologies, a product engineering services company, will expand its international operations and build capacity in Japan, Nordics, and other existing markets, namely the United States, Australia/New Zealand, the United Kingdom, and Mainland Europe. The company has allocated Rs 50 crore for the next 12 months towards this expansion.
Part of the expansion plan includes an increase in onsite hiring. Experion has begun hiring local engineers for its US and ANZ offices, adding to the investments made in the US by Indian companies and creating more jobs in the local market. The company also plans to double its employee headcount from the present level of 1500 by 2025-26.
Happiest Minds bags award in Odisha
has been conferred with the Software Technology Parks of India (STPI) Exports and Excellence Special Jury Award Promising Debutant Indian Category. The award is presented in recognition of contributions made by the STP/IT units in exports, employment generation, innovation, and boosting the overall economy and prosperity of the state of Odisha.
In 2022, Happiest Minds announced its expansion plans in Odisha with a new software development centre in Bhubaneswar, taking forward its long-term investment plans for further expansion in the state in alignment with the Make in Odisha focus of the state government.
OnMobile launches new gamification platform for brands
Global, the mobile gaming and entertainment product company, launched its SaaS-based gamification platform for brands across industries called Gamize.
The SaaS-based gamification platform will provide customisable, industry-agnostic solutions for acquiring, engaging, and retaining users for a brand’s website or app.
Gamize intends to leverage the natural tendencies of people for competition, achievement, and getting rewarded by modifying user behaviour with gamification techniques helping customers nudge the user to complete or perform activities meaningful to them while rewarding such behaviours.
The platform also uses methods via gamification to help customers increase users through referrals, which helps keep customer acquisition costs lower.
Aurionpro reports 23% rise in net profit for Q4 FY23
Aurionpro Solutions, a technology solutions company, reported a net profit of Rs 27 crore for the fourth quarter of FY23—a 23% annual growth. The revenue during the period stood at RS 191 crore with a YoY growth of 39%. Aurionpro reported a revenue of Rs 659 crore for FY23, a YoY growth of 31%. The net profit for the fiscal stood at Rs 102 crore, which was a 35% YoY growth.
“We have started FY24 with a growing pipeline, a strong order book, a slate of market-leading products and an execution machine that has now delivered two consecutive years of high growth since we revamped our strategic framework," Aurionpro Vice-Chairman Ashish Rai said. "We believe we are in a great position to continue our strong growth trajectory, and we expect FY24 growth to be in the range of 30 to 35%.”
