What mothers want? Take the HerStory Mother’s Day survey today

Saturday May 11, 2019 , 3 min Read

A mother knows best and we second that. From giving birth to raising a child to be the best version of herself, a mother plays a critical role in who we are and become.

As decision makers and as nurturers, they decide what is best for their children. From small things such as nappies and formula brands to fashion and movies to educational institutions and colleges – mothers play a crucial role in every decision-making process.

It takes a village to raise a child but the world of the internet has shown that with micro families, dual income households and access to the internet, mothers and especially working mothers can manage their children, work and household responsibilities single-handedly with little help and support.

While mothers are decision-makers, what are the choices they have? What makes their lives easy or tough? What are some of the brands they favour over others, or the apps they absolutely cannot do without? What are some of the challenges they face in their homes and what kind of support do they need at the workplace?

Unlike the rest of the world which has an ageing population, India is predominantly young and mothers play a key role.

This Mother’s Day, HerStory wants to connect with every mother to understand the challenges they face, the pressure they constantly feel and the choices they make - whether it’s baby formula, a toy or a car seat.

This survey also captures the other aspects of motherhood such her career and the challenges that come with it, online activities, and emotional support.

Tell us how employers can be supportive, how do you confidently face family and societal pressures and what can brands, service providers and companies do to create, build and manufacture things for mothers and children that meet their needs and catch their attention.

This survey is for all mothers – working, single, stay-at-home or those on a break from work. Tell us your problems, share with us your challenges, what can be done to make your lives comfortable, convenient and easier – and how you would like to squeeze some me-time into your hectic schedules.

Let us help to know yourself better. For, we all know the hand that rocks the cradle rules the world… let’s help you get there.

Take the survey today. Click here.
