Hardly anyone would disagree that the most important component of the contemporary personal computer is the hard disk. Naturally, the question is not in performance, and not even in the price. The main purpose of the hard disk is to store information, which is often unique or extremely difficult to get from other sources, and can cost much more than the computer itself. But the paradox is that the hard drive is the most unreliable device, despite all the promises of its producers.

Most of the troubles with the computer in the first place affect the hard drive: a violation of power supply and mechanical effects may lead to physical damage of its parts; incorrectly running programs and viruses can completely spoil the logical structure of the disc. But the saddest fact is that according to some reports, over 50% of accidents are caused by errors of users themselves.

Meanwhile, in most cases, the information remains on the disk, you just need to be able to get it. Even with the heavy physical damage, it is not lost: experts can reveal the disk and make all the necessary manipulations for data recovery. The only question is whether this procedure will be repaid, especially since the volume of information restored depends strongly on the nature of the damage.

However, much simpler situations are more common: the tricks of the virus, the violation of the logical structure of the disk as the result of formatting or problems with power supply, etc. It turns out that in such cases it is not necessary to apply to a service center directly. Having some knowledge and disk recovery software you can try to accurately correct the situation yourself.

There are many programs that can help undelete files on your hard drive. These programs have some common characteristics:

• they are simple enough to be used by a layman;

• they operate in automatic mode, requiring minimal user intervention;

• they are not disruptive in their nature, i.e. do not write operations on a disk - all the necessary logical structures are recreated in memory, and restored information is transferred to another carrier.

The first two characteristics mean that these tools can be used at home - they require a minimum of technical knowledge and do not present the user with difficult dilemmas. But the most important characteristic is the third one. It is clear that not all problems can be solved by program method and the capacity of each particular program is limited. In case of failure of one means you can take advantage of the other or in desperation turn to the service center.

The program interface is very simple - almost no user intervention is required. But there are several options which allow you to configure the operation of the program. Both programs declare the ability to recover data after formatting or destructive action of viruses and improperly functioning software, and even after several accidents of a physical nature.
