Ashish Hemrajani is the CEO and Co-founder of Bigtree Entertainment Private Limited, which operates BookMyShow. After completing his MBA from Sydenham University in 1997, he gave in to his passion for entrepreneurship, and founded Bigtree Entertainment Pvt. Ltd in 1999.
Under Ashish’s leadership, Bigtree Entertainment survived through the dot-com bust in 2001, and managed to do so by selling the Vista ticketing software and providing back-end ticketing services to cinema theatres. In 2007, seeing the growth in multiplexes and the increased credit/debit card penetration in the country, Ashish and his team launched BookMyShow.
