A woman entrepreneur helping the younger generation make the right career choices with tech education
Sneha Priya started her entrepreneurial journey with SP Robotic Works in 2012. She laid the foundation for this business at the age of 19 while backpacking across the country, participating and winning national and international competitions in robotics. She was one of the youngest women to be awarded as "Iconic Women" by the Women Economic Forum and has been awarded six times for her contribution as an entrepreneur to the robotics space by organisations such as Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Government of India; World Startup Expo; and Confederation of Indian Industry among others. She is bullish on imparting online education around latest technologies such as robotics, IoT (Internet of Things) among others using hands-on kits and an online maker portal to learn, test, network, share ideas and showcase talents. She has also received a patent for “miniaturized home control and automation system.”

Sneha is valued by the industry for her expertise in areas such as robotics, embedded systems, automation, and management. She primarily writes about new technologies and developments in the robotics and automation sectors. In one of her articles, she highlighted a few sectors that can be disrupted by drone technology. These include agriculture, disaster management, surveillance, inventory management, and hospitals. As she mentioned in one of her recent articles, “There’s no denying that the usage drones present can have a far-reaching positive impact on society at large. Further, it is very much within the realms of possibility that these flying machines will soon find their way into various industries in the future. With this also comes the opportunity to build a drone-related career to be a part of this upcoming industry.” She is also bullish on imparting drone education to the young generation at an early stage. “As the job market for drone-related careers is likely to grow in the future, it will generate huge employment opportunities for engineers and technical professionals with expertise in drone development and operation. Thus, it is prudent to start learning about them at an early age.”
