Sujit Janardanan

As part of his current mandate as the Chief Marketing Officer at Cropin, a B2B Agtech player, Sujit is focused on building a new product category, while creating a brand that is seen as instrumental in leading the digital transformation led change in agriculture globally. He last was part of the Google Cloud founding team in India, which he helped grow and take away sizeable market share from AWS and MS. He also led marketing as VP – Global Marketing at Aranca. Before Aranca he was with Amazon where he was part of the initial team that drove the growth for AWS’ business in the Indian sub-continent. He is also one of the few technology marketers in India with over a decades experience in taking cloud services to market. He joined Amazon from Netmagic – an NTT Com Group Company, where his role included developing strategy to build the Netmagic brand, while also leading the corporate, field marketing, corporate communications and the inside sales functions. He was part of the leadership team that drove Netmagic's growth as an Indian IT infrastructure outsourcing and cloud services market leader. He was also entrusted the additional responsibility of restructuring the Customer Advocacy practice for the company. Sujit has consistently built world-class marketing capabilities for the organizations that he worked with while building business revenue and brand. A keen student and practitioner of B2B marketing, Sujit has been recognized as one of the 50 Most Talented CMOs of India – 2013 by the CMO Council and World Brand Congress. Sujit held key marketing roles at 3i Infotech as part of its Global Marketing team and McAfee where he led their enterprise marketing in India & SAARC region. Beginning his career at Sercon as Executive - Operations and then moving on to Shobiz Experiential Communications, Sujit has managed and rolled-out several BTL marketing campaigns for brands like HUL, Cisco, Oracle and Symantec among others. With a career spanning over 20 years, Sujit has a deep understanding of the IT ecosystem, complex enterprise (B2B) purchase decision-making process. He has learnt and honed his skills as a B2B marketer and brings to table a keen sense for business-oriented marketing coupled with strong execution capabilities. A Hotel Management grad from IHMCTAN, he holds a post-grad degree in management from IIM Kozhikode’s Management Education Programme - the Executive Management Education Programme.
