About Dr Sanjeev Arora

Dr Sanjeev Arora is the founder and director of Project ECHO, a non-profit that uses technology, a disease management model, case-based learning, and a web-based database to arm primary care providers with the knowledge needed to treat those with complex health problems that would otherwise need to travel for medical care. Dr. Arora is also a Distinguished and Regents’ Professor of Medicine with tenure in the department of Internal Medicine at the University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center.


About Dr. Indu Bhushan

Dr. Indu Bhushan is the Chief Executive Officer of Ayushman Bharat – Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB PM-JAY), National Health Authority, the world’s largest government-funded health assurance scheme providing cashless secondary and tertiary care to more than 53 crore poorest citizens. As CEO, he led the design, development and the rollout of the scheme and oversees its implementation in the country. Dr. Bhushan was recently selected for the Global Achievement Award by Johns Hopkins University, his alma mater. The award is given each year to recognise the exceptional contributions of those alumni who epitomize the Johns Hopkins tradition of excellence and bring credit to the University in the international arena through their professional or humanitarian service. He also awarded Government of India’s National Award for E-Governance 2019-2020 (Gold Award) for Excellence in Government Process Re-engineering for Digital Transformation for Ayushman Bharat PM-JAY on behalf of the National Health Authority.

About Preeti Sudan

Preeti Sudan is the current Health Secretary of India. She has been the key strategist in times of COVID-19 pandemic and has the arduous task of keeping India informed and ensure all states are containing the virus spread. A 1983 batch IAS officer of the Andhra cadre, she was previously a Secretary, Department of Food and Public Distribution. Apart from this, she has served at various central and state level positions such as a Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Defense as well as in position relating to disaster management and tourism. She has been a key functionary in the planning and implementation of the Ayushman Bharat Yojana, a scheme of the Indian government's National Health Policy aiming to provide free health coverage at the secondary and tertiary level to India's bottom 40% poor and vulnerable population. She has degrees in Economics and Social Policy and Planning from the London School of Economics. She has been trained in public finance management in Washington. She has also served as consultant in the World Bank.
