Tilfi, an indigenous brand co-founded by Aditi Chand, Udit Khanna, and Ujjwal Khanna in Banaras in 2016, is a modern representation of Banarasi handloom and its ancient heritage.

By adopting modern practices, Tilfi has put luxury Banarasi handloom on the international stage by strongly believing in its artisan community, coupled with operational efficiency, quality standards, and a business model that appeals to people across ages.

After reimagining the Banarasi handloom industry, Tilfi Banaras took on the mantle of saving its 2,000 artisans from the difficulties of the pandemic. It also pledged about 15 percent of all sale proceeds for 15 days in May towards the fight against COVID-19 in Varanasi, its neighbouring districts, and remote villages of rural eastern UP.

To prepare our children for a tech-driven future, it is imperative that we equip them with the right skills they need to thrive.

Toonz Academy, the animation and visual arts training division of Thiruvananthapuram-based Toonz Media Group, was quick to realise the importance of creative and lateral learning methodologies. It launched Ri8brain, an edtech platform exclusively meant for training in the creative arts, in May 2021.

In just two months, the platform claims to have registered over 1,000 users across age groups and skill levels.

There is so much effort in trying to understand various connections amidst the pandemic. There are several articles mentioning severe hair loss, fatigue, poor sleep, and hormone disruption post-vaccination and post COVID-19.

You might be wondering why some people get better quickly and some just struggle. This might go back to the state of their overall health. Protein, however, plays a key role!

Protein can very well be a strong differentiator in reactions. Being deficient in protein can also be a reason for poor immune function, which can predispose you to succumbing to COVID-19.

Taliesyn

To preserve our planet and its natural bounty, we must make changes at the ground level. With this goal in mind, Architects GS Mahaboob Basha and Shalini Chandrashekar launched Taliesyn in 2010.

The Bengaluru-based design and architecture firm is known for its eco-efficient buildings, and its latest offering, Ksaraah, is redefining the concept of sustainably luxurious homestays.

The ethos of the firm is rooted in researching local crafts and indigenous techniques of design – a process that entails working closely with artisans and craftsmen – and using these artisanal creations to complement each space in a specific manner.
