People have woken up to the importance of recycling old things as much as possible – both as memories and to preserve the environment.
Gurugram-based Cornucopia has been spreading the 'recycle and reuse' message since 2017. Co-founded by sisters Ayesha and Manisha Desai, the e-tail business converts old clothes and discarded fabrics into bespoke quilts and cushion covers.
It’s that time of the year again when we wear our patriotism with pride. Quirky clothing brand 1947IND is helping us do just that.
Founded by Rajeeva Mahalinga and Sowjanya S Prabhu in 2018, the Bengaluru-based lifestyle clothing brand recently collaborated with the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO). The initiative was in the wake of ISRO’s long-term plan to familiarise millennials and Gen-Z with the milestones achieved by them over the years.
This collection of merchandise highlights the various missions undertaken by ISRO over the years, and pays ode to the great leaders behind its achievements.
Delhi-NCR's iconic French bakery chain L’Opéra is, quite simply, foodie heaven. The delectable aroma of French goodies in the warmth of a cosy ambience simply can’t be ignored.
Started in March 2011, L’Opéra is the brainchild of Frenchman Laurent Samandari. In a decade, L’Opéra has expanded to include over two dozen outlets in strategic markets of Delhi and Gurugram, all major malls in the NCR region, and prestigious office buildings.
Known for its authentic flavours and unique fare, it is now planning to expand across India after completing a decade in the capital.
Since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, several businesses suffered major losses or shut their shops, while others pivoted to stay relevant in the market.
Among such businesses is the New Delhi-based D2C brand Speaking Herbs. The essential oil brand, founded by Tanaya Sarma and Amis Ahmed in 2018, sells essential oils online. It has about 49 SKUs, including Black Seed oil, Jojoba oil, and Argan oil.
Suresh K Nair, Assistant Professor, Dept. of Painting, Faculty of Visual Arts, Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Varanasi, is known for his larger-than-life art in the form of murals.
When the pandemic put a physical stop to his preferred mode, the 48-year-old artist swiftly changed to what was most accessible then – miniatures.
Suresh K Nair created 1000s of miniature paintings on visiting cards during the lockdown to be gifted to each resident of an art village in Kerala.
