Love at first ride: Meet Biker Boy Jasminder Singh popularly known for his YouTube channel, JS Films
With an innate passion for biking and his vast knowledge on super bikes, 32-year old Jasminder Singh takes fans on a thrilling journey and entertaining ride on his YouTube channel titled JS Films.
Jasminder Singh is a complete extrovert on a bike and he often takes his fans on thrilling journeys across cities and terrains via his YouTube videos.
32-year-old Delhi based biker, Jasminder is up to date with the latest advancements in biking, such as bike reviews, how to go about leading the lifestyle of a true rider, the perfect motorcycle to purchase, trends in the market, store launches and the places to visit to get the right bike gear and equipment.

His fans, whom he calls his Jaysn Nation Family, relate to him for his vast knowledge of super bikes, his quirky sense of humour and his ability to keep things as light and fresh as the cool Himalayan wind.
With over 2 million subscribers on his YouTube channel JS Films, and over 292 million plus views, Jasminder is known and respected by his audience for his innate passion for biking.
You can usually find him riding his Suzuki Hayabusa, Kawasaki Z800 and KTM Duke 390 amongst other much-loved bikes in his videos.
With the COVID-19 lockdown, Jasminder recently made a music video starring other popular YouTubers called ‘Bhagega Ye Corona’ as a way to inspire his viewers and give them hope during these trying times.
In an exclusive interview with YS Weekender Jasminder Singh aka JS Films talks about his love for biking, his memorable road trips and adventures, the thought process behind his videos, and his message for fans amidst lockdown.

YSW: How did your passion for biking start?
JS: It’s in the genes, you can say. My father had a flourishing business of two-wheeler repair and spares.
In fact, he still runs the same business at a lower scale. When I was a kid, I used to go and help my father during my summer vacations.
I used to request him to test ride almost all new bikes, which used to come for basic servicing or for accessories.
My passion was further fuelled by the Bollywood movie, Dhoom, and there was no turning back once I saw that film.
YSW: When and why did you decide to dedicate your YouTube channel ‘JS Films’ solely to your biking adventures?
JS: In 2016, I went to Leh Ladakh with my friends on a motorcycle and it was my second road trip on two wheels to Ladakh. I met a famous YouTuber and soon, I became a part of his vlog.
Once I was back from the trip, a lot of people on Facebook told me that they had seen me in the video on the YouTuber’s channel. I found this very interesting!
I have always been regular about taking weekly rides on my bike. So, I decided to invest in a budget action camera to start recording my weekend rides and that was how JS Films was born.

YSW: With the COVID-19 lockdown, how were your planned solo trips affected, and what is your message to fans coping with the situation?
JS: Honestly, I had some super exciting plans for 2020, but COVID-19 ruined it all.
However, my hopes are still high. Sooner or later things will be normal again and I will do a bunch of road trips post the pandemic.
My message to my fans, my Jaysn Nation Family, is loud and clear. Stay strong, keep up the game, and plan your upcoming rides like a pro. Now you have a lot of time for the preparation.
YSW: You recently came out with a music video titled ‘Bhagega Ye Corona’ tell us a little bit about it, and the individuals who contributed to the making of the video.
JS: Suddenly after the lockdown I saw a lot of collaborations among video creators, so I got the idea from them.
I have a friend who is very good when it comes to writing lyrics and composing music.
The purpose behind my song was simple. I wanted to cheer people up, give them hope, and remind them to fight this situation by ignoring religious differences between them.
More than 30 people were featured in that music video and a couple of them are famous YouTube stars, like Jatt Prabhjot, Radhika Bangia, Rishabh Rana, Shlok Srivastava (Tech Burner), Abhi and Niyu, Mohammed Salim Khan and almost all the Moto-vloggers across the country.
Biking for Jasminder was love at first sight.
YSW: What is your personal favourite motorbike and why?
JS: I am a diehard Hayabusa lover. Back in 2004 when the movie, Dhoom was released and I got to know about this bike, it was 'Love at first sight'.
Later that year, I saw a Hayabusa near my house and since then, I have been crazy about it. It is a legendary bike and one of the most famous super bikes ever produced in the world.
YSW: Who are your sporting icons?
JS: I admire so many of them. I used to follow Dr Arun Thareja (founder of G.O.D.S. group) on his forum. Then, among the celebrities I admire actor John Abraham.
YSW: How do you maintain your super bikes and what are some tips and safety measures you can offer to bikers out there?
JS: Motorcycles are like babies and they need proper care, just the way we take care of our children. There should be routine servicing, usage of genuine spare parts and you need to make sure there is no malfunction in any of the electronics components of the bike.
These are the basics of keeping a bike healthy and ensuring that it will be a long-lasting companion.

YSW: Can you tell us about a memorable trip that you made, and your personal favourite video on your YouTube channel.
JS: There are many, I can't point to one. There was my first road trip to Leh Ladakh, in 2018 on my Suzuki Hayabusa and a cross-country trip in 2019 when I visited Bhutan and Nepal on my Hayabusa. Later that year I did Spiti valley and Leh Ladakh in one go on the Hayabusa. Gurudongmar Lake, which is one of the highest altitude lakes in the world in north Sikkim, was also amazing.
YSW: How do you come up with your entertaining, funny, and carefully researched content?
JS: Actually, I don’t do a lot of homework, though inspiration can come through any content you watch.
I know what kind of content my audience wants. They want to see my daily life and my activities, know my thoughts and yes, definitely look at my super bikes.
YSW: What is your advice to aspiring YouTubers and influencers out there?
JS: You are most welcome here on YouTube. But, please come if only money is not only your primary motive.
People with talent can do wonders here, money is just a by-product.
YouTube according to Jasminder is a place where everyone is welcome, so long as they come with the right attitude and intention.
YSW: Who are some of the individuals you would like to collaborate with?
JS: Mumbiker Nikhil, Flying Beast, Sejal Kumar, Mostlysane, and Parineeti Chopra.
YSW: What are your future plans once the lockdown restrictions are lifted?
JS: Due to the current Covid situation, I am already diverting my energy to my new gaming channel and I have already achieved a 100k milestone within two weeks.
My plans are to go live daily and play games with my friends and subscribers. I do have a lot of national and international road trips planned already, but the timing will depend on Covid-19 subsiding.
YSW: What are some of your other hobbies besides biking over the weekends?
JS: I love watching movies/series online and recently I have been playing a lot of online games.
