Niharika NM ruling the content world with her relatable comedy and charm
In a recent conversation with YourStory’s Influencers Inc, digital content creator Niharika NM talks about her journey in the creators’ space on Instagram and YouTube.
The COVID-19 pandemic, and the subsequent array of lockdowns, gave birth to several social media influencers, who freely expressed themselves on the Internet, thereby entertaining people.
Niharika NM is one such creator who is ruling the pandemic creator’s wave with her relatable and funny reels.

With a whopping two million followers on Instagram and 726,000 subscribers on YouTube, she is consistently churning out hilarious content since the lockdown.
Talking about her journey as a creator, Niharika said the pandemic pushed her towards content creation because everything came to a halt, and there was nothing else to do.
“When I think about it, it was a bitter-sweet experience because the time it happened was so weird for everyone, but also it happened, so I am happy about it,” she added.
Niharika draws inspiration for her content from personal experiences as it is more authentic. Going forward, she plans to step into a fictional zone, and the idea is in the works.
While Niharika does not have a fixed content calendar for scheduling, she has to-do lists, which are valid for 24 hours.
Niharika’s internet journey started when she was 18 or 19-years-old, and grew up making comedy videos. She wasn’t keen on exploring the beauty and fashion genres, but comedy came naturally to her. “It’s been a roller coaster ride, but it’s been fun,” she said.
Talking about the south Indian flavour in her content, Niharika said she does not deliberately plan on it, she talks to the camera just like she talks to her Bengaluru friends. “It’s just organic and authentic, and it just comes sometimes in that situation. I don’t really plan out a dialogue,” she added.
Niharika emphasised that a creator has to work and strive towards branding and monetisation of their content. Patience is an important factor to consider in this regard.
“It can take a while for you to make the kind of money that everybody is talking about,” she added.
