Rapid fire with Param Bhargava, Co-founder of The Ayurveda Company
YS Life poses fun and quirky questions to Param Bhargava of The Ayurvedic Company to discover his personality beyond his business.
Coming from a family of doctors, mechanical engineer Param Bhargava’s inclination towards Ayurveda was natural. His interests were further strengthened when ayurvedic skin treatment helped solve his wife, Shreedha Shingh’s skin condition. In 2019, the duo launched beauty and wellness brand Khadi Essentials. Later, in 2021, the couple launched another D2C brand, The Ayurvedic Company or T.A.C, to make ayurvedic beauty and wellness products available to the masses.
A recipient of Times 40 Under 40 accolade, under Bhargava’s leadership, T.A.C has been recognised as one of the Brands of New India by YourStory.
Recently, in a fun and candid conversation for Rapid Fire with YS Life, Bhargava gave us a peek into his life beyond his business.
YS Life (YSL): What is that one misconception that people have about you?
Param Bhargava (PB): That I’m very aggressive.
YSL: What was the last thing you did before you settled down to answer these questions?
PB: I was reviewing my finance team’s work. Looking at how they are managing the cash flows.
YSL: When was the last time you cried?
PB: I never cry.
YSL: What is your guilty pleasure?
PB: Binge-watching Netflix.
YSL: A T.A.C product that you use regularly?
PB: I personally incorporate T.A.C's Hair Serum into my daily routine.
YSL: If not T.A.C, what would you name your brand?
PB: I think T.A.C is the name that perfectly reflects our brand identity as it connects with young and restless India.
YSL: One thing that you hate about your job?
PB: One aspect that I find challenging is the constant need for innovation. To stay ahead of the curve, I have to continuously train my mind and strive to be ahead of the ever-evolving landscape. It can be demanding, but I believe it's necessary to stay competitive in the vast universe of my profession.
YSL: What's the first thing you do when you wake up?
PB: I have two pets. So, the first thing I do when I wake up is take them out for a walk.
YSL: Two entrepreneurs that you wouldn't mind getting stuck on an island with?
PB: Aman Gupta and Mukesh Ambani.
YSL: Consistency or quality?
PB: Consistency.
YSL: Fame or money?
PB: Money
YSL: A mantra that you live by?
PB: How do you grow 1% every day?
YSL: If you had the ability to go back in time and change one thing, what would it be?
PB: I would have loved to get the idea in my mind of launching T.A.C just before COVID-19.
