This Christmas, ditch the plum cake and try these cake recipes at home
Chef Aditi Handa, Founder of The Baker’s Dozen, shares easy cake recipes to try at home this Christmas.
Christmas is synonymous with plum cake. Usually made with dried raisins, prunes, currants, and sultanas, plum cakes make their way to every grocery store and supermarket in December.
But, let’s be honest; besides the whole nostalgic factor associated with these brown, fruity cakes, the plum cakes available in India are sugary and not as great in taste.
With this in mind, YS Life reached out to Chef Aditi Handa, Founder of The Baker’s Dozen, to share with us a few bake-at-home cake options to replace the usual store-bought plum cake this Christmas.
