According to OneWorld South Asia, the Women’s World Summit Foundation (WWSF) is seeking nominations for its Annual Prize for Women’s Creativity in Rural Life:
All over the world, rural women are an integral and vital force in the development processes that are the key to socio-economic progress.
The Women’s World Summit Foundation (WWSF) invites nominations for its fifteenth Annual Prize for Women’s Creativity in Rural Life, honouring innovative and courageous women and women’s organisations working to improve the quality of life in rural communities around the world.
Since its inception in 1994, 331 laureates have been felicitated for their creativity with a cash donation of US$ 500 each and US$ 3,000 for established organisations in Africa.
Many of the 15 to 20 selected prize winners will be invited to Geneva to personally present their work at an award ceremony on October 15, declared as the International Day for Rural Women by the UN.
