Thursday February 26, 2009 , 4 min Read

For those who have their dream jobs in their sights and yet seem to miss the mark, do not lose hope just yet. Have a gander at what Karthik Padmanabhan has to offer. Yourstory caught up with the man who established “ThinkVarsity IT Career School” in 2008 with the much touted Indian Youth as the ace up his sleeve. He plans to enable and empower 10 K Indian youth with employable and vocational skills so that they find their dream jobs within 2010 and you can be one of those that he puts on the path to success, that is, if you are looking for a job. Simply put his dream is to make your dreams come true.

“ThinkVarsity IT Career School” is the place to go for the young and the hopeful who are looking for training and placement services for jobs within IT, Retail, Telecom and Sales sectors. Currently operating from Bangalore and Chennai , they plan to set-up centers in 10 other locations by 2010.

Karthik says he became an entrepreneur to help others help themselves, or as he likes to put it “Because the desire to do something to help and empower the youth (the future of this country) to start their livelihood by finding their dream job was overwhelming. So much so, that I was actually dreaming about it 3 years prior to actually jumping into it.

He also believes that entrepreneurship keeps you grounded and reminds one to live for the day. Karthik says that it is a very exhilarating experience, especially with the economy being what it is. The challenges one needs to overcome makes it an experience in itself.

“As an entrepreneur you learn to live with the challenges and also overcome them one by one. This never stops till you quit running the business. So in a nutshell running a business means overcoming challenges day-in and day-out with unflinching focus, commitment, dedication and passion and enjoying every bit of it, the experience of running a business or leading a great life.”

Two years ago when he was working with Microsoft India at an offsite in Bangkok, Thailand, he had an epiphany. He discovered that only thing that stops you from doing anything worthwhile is your mind. That is when he also decided to exit from the corporate life to become an entrepreneur and went about setting up his business.

There were times though that he felt like giving up on his dreams. He says “When the struggle gets unbearable you tend to get these thoughts, but I do not let it last and the thoughts die a natural death.”

Driven by the passion to make a difference by enabling millions of families to find solutions to their economic problems through jobs for the youth he has no plans of quitting just yet.

“ThinkVarsity IT Career School” is a career maker and placement expert for those looking to make a living. They get paid for the services they render to those who are looking for training and placement services for jobs within IT, Retail, Telecom and Sales sectors. Their training methodology puts a lot of emphasis on self transformation through rigorous practice sessions supplemented with practical on the job training.

With Europe and the world population aging, time seems to be on the side of our Indian youth, who have an unprecedented opportunity to impress themselves onto the world map

For the uninitiated Karthik has a few pearls of wisdom “Lage Raho, lage Raho and Lage raho”, He says one should never underestimate the power of resolve, only you can make it happen, just focus on the present and occasionally when the right opportunity comes by take the Big Leap forward without thinking too much. To this Yourstory says “Lage raho Karthik” and “ThinkVarsity IT Career School” to their dreams of empowering Indian Youth.
