Sweta Parikh, Owner, Grafico

Wednesday May 13, 2009 , 3 min Read

In today’s world, where tough competition has made it difficult for any one company to dominate the market scene, marketing has emerged as one of the most effective strategies to seize potential consumer segments and create goodwill. This is where companies like Grafico – a design studio, come into the picture and act instrumental. Established in 2007 by Sweta Parikh, a graduate in interior designing, the company is a one stop destination for all graphic and design solutions for web and print media. Apart from corporate branding and identity, promotion, web designing, animation, product designing and designing wedding cards, Grafico also engages in internet marketing and SEO for websites and for companies looking to promote their products or services. A fast growing company having a wide national and international clientele, Grafico unfailingly posts a 100% year on year growth.

“Marketing and advertising is the need of the hour for promoting your company and its products in the best possible ways. Every company requires our services. From logo designing, corporate identity and package designing to advertising and marketing, we provide every means that can bolster a company’s reputation in the market. I believe internet is the most efficient and effective way to reach out to maximum number of audience. Internet marketing is used widely, especially since the social sites have become so popular these days,” explains Parikh.

The company can be differentiated from other online marketing businesses simply by the fact that Grafico studies the over saturated, skeptical mind of the consumers. It knows precisely how to develop and execute the kind of ideas that demand attention. It provides a 360 solution for the design needs of all its clients. “We ensure customer loyalty, build brand awareness and increase traffic and sales of the client’s products and services with our solutions,” said Parikh.

The way in which Parikh wishes to scale up Grafico is obvious — through internet marketing. She depends on web and email marketing to reach out to greater number of audience and build brand image for the company. Printed brochures and advertising in targeted publications is another way in which the company is promoted. The company has a wide portfolio; anyone can see the work and generate inquiries, which will be looked into by the marketing staff with presentations and samples.

Most people usually prefer a 9-5 job with a secured monthly income, but not Parikh. “Unlike a job, my venture gives me the freedom to go ahead with my ideas, and implement them without wasting time on convincing other people. I do not have to compromise on what I believe in,” she asserts.

Parikh faced new challenges everyday, while setting goals and while achieving them. But she believes they helped her stay focused and motivated. However, so far, the biggest challenge has been to shift to a new city along with the business.

What about the biggest mistake? “Mistakes are a learning experience. I have made a couple of them and believe they have helped me improve and become more prudent,” she said. Earlier, Parikh had started a family business of ISP where later she introduced website designing and programming. She then moved on with the same and introduced print media services with an overall initial investment of around Rs2-3 lakh.

This determined entrepreneur not only enjoys her work, but believes that it is creative and very stimulating, which is also what drives her to stay buckled on to her venture. Her target is to go national with more branches across India.

Tips to share with budding entrepreneurs? “Do what you enjoy, it will help you grow tremendously,” she concludes
