NSIC launches B2B portal, nsicindia.com

Dinsha J Patel, Minister of State of the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), inaugurated the launch of the NSIC Business-to-Business (B2B) website to facilitate e-commerce in the sector.


The website www.nsicindia.com will go a long way in the marketing of products and services, identifying the quality of the products, sourcing of the raw material, for the small and medium enterprises of the country, said the Minister. Explaining the role the MSME sector plays in the Indian economy, Dinesh Rai, Secretary, Ministry of MSME, said it contributes 45 per cent of the industrial output and 40 per cent of the total country’s exports. He said from the 800 reserved items in the MSME sector, it has come down to 21 items in the present time.


P Dey, DGM, NSIC, elucidated the features of the sites. Alongside product specific database searches, tender notices, business trade leads, virtual gallery, the site is enabled with WAP services, SMS alerts, trusted seal, centralized mail system, customer support and payment gateway for membership subscription, he said.
