BITS, Pilani Announces Business Incubation Projects for Small and Medium Enterprises

BITS, Pilani invites applications from men and women preferably between 21 and 45 years of age to take up business incubation projects for a period of one year with effect from January 2010. This is under the Scheme of Entrepreneurial and Managerial Development of SMEs through Incubators under the Ministry of Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), Government of India. The project involves commercially launching the product/services developed by them and finding market linkages within a period of one year. Counseling/equity support will be provided by MSME.
The following are the areas :
Integrated Rural Energy System, Community Kitchen for NREGP, Multimedia Centre (MC), Computer Literacy and e-governance, Cooled Pack-House, Cultivation and Marketing of Amaranthus (Chulai) and Moringa (Sahjan Falli)., Micro – finance Institution, Destination Branding, FM Radio programme on Science – Tech-entrepreneurship, Public Performance Podium (PPP) for folk song for folk and dance (FSD), Manufacture, Repair and Maintenance of Musical Instruments.
The project will operate through a local area network of 20 kms from Pilani, Rajasthan.
