Jaipan enters LED business

Manufacturers and Marketers of home appliances and consumer durable industry Jaipan Industries Ltd has ventures into lighting and fitting industry with a range of LED (Light Emitting Diodes) products. Jaipan has invested to the tune of Rs 20 cr in this project and has plans to further invest based on market response. The current turnover of the company is Rs 80 cr and is expected to grow to up to Rs 100 cr.

J N Agarwal, managing director of Jaipan said the company is trading in the LED range across international marekts like Srilanka, Muscat, Saudi Arabia, Mauritius, Tansania and Australia. The products designed are compact in size and, safe and secure while handling. The range includes multipurpose bulbs, emergency light and torch among others.

With this expansion, Jaipan plans to extend the benefits of LED technology to Urban and rural home and commercial users who can utilize this technology, where power cuts are regular and cost of generators, invertors and electricity is high. Magic bulbs are not only aesthetically designed but also help save energy, it can benefit the consumers by reducing their electricity bill.
