This is a cross-post from Samhita.
An NGO based in India worked for the benefit of cleft lip patients. Field agents of the NGO used to travel to remote villages and collect information on cleft lip patients and forward the information to the hospital for surgery. It took them almost 2 months for one such trip and the data collected could be analyzed only after they returned to base.
To resolve this issue the NGO got a customized mobile app built by a mobile tech startup firm, Mobisy. Lalit Bhise, founder of Mobisy, designed and built a mobile application for the NGO that enabled the field staff to collect data using their existing mobile phones and transfer it to the doctors on a real-time basis.
This improved the effeciency and effectiveness of their operations significantly. This is one case study that Mobisy has to share. You can hear more about Mobisy from Lalit himself in this video:
Mobisy and Samhita have announced an offer where an NGO registered on Samhita can get a customized mobile software application designed for their own operations for free. The approximate worth of such an application is almost 8.4 lacs.
The offer starts on January 7, 2011 and ends on January 31, 2011. For further details and to apply click here.
