When ThinkChange India started three years ago (happy anniversary!), the team set forth with the intention to create a country-focused resource on social entrepreneurship. We’ve focused on building our news base and media outreach in India; however, the vision all along was clear – a “ThinkChange Global” umbrella that would house a variety of country-specific websites for those interested in social innovation. We understand the importance of local context and locally driven solutions, and wish to create forums that allow readers to focus within very specific circumstances.Today marks the first spin off from ThinkChange India! We’re happy and excited to announce ThinkChange Pakistan:

ThinkChange Pakistan aims to demystify this sphere in order to foster dialogue, learning and collaboration within the social entrepreneurship and innovation space. In Pakistan, social enterprises – social mission-driven businesses that take market-based approaches to achieve social impact – represent a small but growing contingent in an increasingly dynamic global field.
In the coming months, ThinkChange Pakistan will provide case studies of current social enterprises, interviews with social entrepreneurs and players in the space, contributions, job postings, and pieces that hope to foster dialogue on the dynamics of this industry.

Please join us in welcoming the team at ThinkChange Pakistan – Kalsoom Lakhani, Jeremy Higgs, and Maryam Jillani. We’re looking forward to keeping up to date with the news coming out of Pakistan, and learning more about what it takes to make a sustainable social impact within the Pakistani realm.

If any readers are similarly interested in the creation of a resource focused on other countries, please do get in touch with the TC-I team – we would love to hear from you and help you launch your own website!
