Langoor Pty Ltd, an atypical web products and services company from Australia, has launched a worldwide contest for individuals/organizations/communities to win their own website (worth $5000 of services).
A first of its kind initiative, anyone (with or without a website) can nominate itself on the contest page (http://winyourwebsite.com), stating the clear need of having a website. They can then crowd-source votes for the nomination (using social media tools like FB/Twitter/Linkedin). The nominee at the end with the most votes emerges as the proud owner of his/her own website! The competition ends at midnight, 31 May.
The contest has already received more than 30 entries from India, 20 from the United States and 7 from Australia.
The winner gets:
- A domain name
- Free hosting (migrating to our cloud servers if you are already hosted) and/or free 1 year langoor.net Professional Plan
- Planning and developing a new website according to requirements (up to 8 hours)
- Custom designs (re-designs); up to 3 complete revisions and reasonable refinements (up to 20 hours)
- Design Integration and Features Implementation (up to 50 hours)
- Training and hand over (up to 5 hours)

Ruchir Punjabi is the Founder and Managing Director of Langoor (www.Langoor.com.au / www.Langoor.net / www.Langoor.mobi ), a company he started in 2009. Langoor is his third venture.
He graduated from University of Sydney in Computer Science and Technology (Adv.) with Honors and High Honors Rolls at the University including winning the Microsoft Research Asia Award.
Ruchir is the Founding Chair of the Australia India Business Council NSW Young Professionals. He was one of nineteen young people in Australia invited for lunch with Prince William by the Governor General of Australia in early 2010.
He is the Vice President of International Advertising Association Australia Young Professionals, Australian Web Industry Association National Committee Member, Australian Interactive Media Industry Association (NSW) Committee Member and the Australia India Business Council NSW Management Committee Member.
