In a highly competitive world, like we are in now, it is very much essential to constantly be updated with the present trend to stay in the race. Google has introduced +1 button to battle it out with Facebook like button on the web. “Google’s +1 button will make its first ever appearance today on the Google search pages, all over the world. We’ll be starting off with sites like google.co.uk, google.de, google.jp and google.fr, then expanding quickly to most other Google search sites soon after”, Google Product Manager Nick Radicevic announced on Google’s AdSense blog (http://adsense.blogspot.com/2011/06/1-around-world.html)

Apart from +1 button making its appearance in search pages, it is being expanded to all the websites around the globe. Google announced partnerships with many newspapers such as The

Telegraph, The Independent, Last.fm, SnapDeal and El Pais. The +1 button which was launched last month as a strong rivalry to Facebook’s like button is an ordeal to improve the influence of Google on the web. This might well be useful for Google to improve search results by the feedback acquired from +1 button from websites across the world.
