Social Media Strikes Back : #IdiotKapilSibal Trending on Twitter

Yesterday we had done a post based on a New York Times report that the Indian government has asked Internet companies and social media sites like Facebook to prescreen user content from India and to remove disparaging, inflammatory or defamatory content before it goes online.Looks like the social media sphere is striking back as the twitter hashtag #IdiotKapilSibal is trending in India which shows tweeps' discontent against the move. Kapil Sibal is India’s acting telecommunications minister who met top officials from the Indian units of Google, Microsoft, Yahoo and Facebook yesterday.
