Lava Announces Launch of New Smartphone Based on Intel Technology
Intel Corporation and Lava International, a fast growing mobile handset company in India, have announced that the companies are collaborating to launch the XOLO X900.
It will be India’s first smartphone with Intel Inside®. The XOLO X900 from Lava is based on Intel’s smartphone reference design featuring the Intel® Atom™ processor Z2460 with Intel® Hyper-Threading Technology and supporting HSPA+ with the Intel XMM 6260 Platform.
Lava has been steadily growing as a mobile phone brand in the Indian market. In order to bring a high- performance and differentiated smartphone to the market, Lava collaborated with Intel to introduce the first Intel-based smartphone under the brand XOLO.
Speaking about the partnership, Vishal Sehgal, co-founder & Director, Lava International said, “We are proud to partner with Intel on XOLO to bring a superior smartphone computing experience to customers in India.” He further added, “With XOLO, we intend to now serve the discerning and fast-paced smartphone customer, which is where this collaboration with Intel is critical to us.”
The XOLO X900 Android smartphone is expected to hit retail shelves in India early in the second quarter this year and will support all major 2G and 3G networks.

- 4.03-inch LCD touchscreen
- 8 megapixel camera, with features like burst mode that allows you to capture 10 photos in under a second.
- Phone supports HDMI®, NFC and HD video playback
