Ayojak Enters Ticketing for Sporting Events
Founded by Santosh Panda in 2009, Ayojak is a solution provider for all event management needs apart from a place where one can discover events. 'Ayojak', Hindi for 'manager', started out as an events listing site but has now transformed into a 360 degree solution provider. The four quarters of 360 degrees-
"The activities of Ayojak can be represented as four quarters of the entire event management pie. The ticketing software, the payment process, marketing and logistics come together to provide a complete solution." says Santosh.
Drilling down into these 4 segments,
Ticketing Software: This is the platform on which the organizer can set up all his ticketing information. The application includes many functionalities like CRM for effective management.
Payment Processes: Ayojak gives all the prevailing option like online payment and COD. Ayojak has powered many events with the payment processes and has turned out to be reliable player in this field.
Marketing: Ayojak also spreads the word about an event. Through various agencies and channel partners, Ayojak has a wide coverage to increase the visibility of an event to help an organizer sell more tickets.
Logistics: Ayojak handles the nitty-gritty of the physical processes as well.
On entering sporting events
Having spent a good two years in the field, Ayojak is opening up new vistas. Ayojak has landed up with a huge project of powering ticketing for PuneStrykers for the World Series Hockey.
For the lesser mortals like me who're guilty bystanders on the sidelines of a hockey field, World Series Hockey is an initiative by IHF (Indian Hockey Federation) to rejuvenate the hockey scene in India. It works on the lines of our beloved IPL and 2012 would be its first season.
Ayojak will be powering all the activities like ticketing, BTL (Below The Line) promotion, stall booking, retail promotion and social media marketing for PuneStrykers.
The road ahead
For landing up with the Pune Strykers deal, Ayojak had to make inroads into sports with smaller events. Only after hovering in there for a sufficient amount of time and proving their credibility, could Ayojak make it big. "Now, we plan to enter into events like conferences and exhibitions, events that are on a much larger scale with complex intricacies." says Santosh. Being a relationship based model, it takes time for the word to grow and trust to build. With a wide repertoire of events under it's belt, Ayojak is on the path to give competition to much bigger players like BookMyShow.
