Paytm, the fast growing online recharge and payments destination recently changed its branding and look, and added more muscle to its offerings. Paytm offers services such as mobile, DTH and data card recharge and payments to over 1.8 million of its registered users online. Paytm users get a choice of shopping deals across food, shopping, lifestyle goods, gifts and flowers, travel and more categories.Harinder Takhar, CEO, Paytm feels that the new look was something “that was dictated by the users themselves.” The new look has changed the colours of the logo from shades of black and orange to hues of blue. The website also looks different, but maintains its earlier minimalistic and simple approach and user experience. The new home page allows the users to easily browse deals. More features added with this change are add money to Paytm Cash, where users can store money in one go and keep using it for quick transactions. Now users can maintain Paytm Cash balance and recharge via SMS and through a toll free number as well.

Last year saw Paytm adding more to its breadth of services. It introduced recharge-on the-go-concept where users could download the Paytm application on their mobile phones. Paytm also began post paid bill online bill payment services to its kitty last year.

In addition to its services, Paytm has built its repute on the basis of its features that help its users. One such popular service is Paytm Cash, its virtual wallet. Paytm’s 24x7 support and its user interface has been a reason for its growing popularity. It hopes to add a few more millions to its user base soon. “This will happen, we are sure, because we try our best to listen,” is what Takhar feels.

In a tussle with Freecharge.in, that raised 20 crores from Sequoia some time ago, Paytm has raised the stakes with bringing in new vigour.
