Founder Institute Comes to Mumbai with Plans of Setting up a Startup Accelerator

The renowned startup accelerator Founder Institute is planning on launching a Mumbai Chapter. Founder Institute is a startup accelerator currently present in **over 30 countries and has helped launch over 500 companies across 26 cities and five continents**. Founder Institute will be selecting 40 startups from Mumbai which will be taken through a 3 month accelerator where they will be mentored once a week by prominent entrepreneurs and Venture Capitalists.

In Mumbai, Founder Institute is proposing to start an accelerator. The Mumbai directors of Founder Institute are Raghav Aggarwal, Abhinav Aggarwal and Amjad Ahmed. Raghav Aggarwal and Abhinav Aggarwal are entrepreneurs having launched Trutech Webs which currently provides solutions to over 150,000 students across the world and has launched the online testing solution for several colleges of Mumbai University. Amjad Ahmed is a technology entrepreneur well known on the local start up scene.

As their first proposed event in the city Founder Institute is doing a pitch bootcamp open to the general public at St.Xavier’s college on the 4th of August between 5pm and 7pm. Three prominent speakers will present for the event:

Faisal Farooqi, the founder at the popular review website Mouthshut.com.
Manak Singh, Is the Managing Director of IkKa ventures.
Anand Lunia, the Founder and Partner of the Early Stage Venture Capital firm India Quotient

Many other entrepreneurs of younger companies are also planning on coming down for the event. The event will be of particular interest to entrepreneurs and anyone having an interest in entrepreneurship.
