Meet the TechSparks 2012 Speakers: Shereen Bhan

With less than 3 weeks to go to the Grand Finale of TechSparks 2012, we're really excited to start introducing our speakers and panelists that you will meet at the event, which is scheduled for the 8th of Sep, 2012.

Our first speaker at TechSparks this year is the Delhi Bureau Chief and Executive Editor of CNBC-TV18, Shereen Bhan. Shereen has been the face of CNBC-TV18 for over a decade now. Shereen not only anchors, but also produces several CNBC-TV18 flagship shows like Young Turks and India Business Hour. Shereen has vast experience in journalism, having interviewed very successful entrepreneurs and businessmen that have scaled up their companies from small startups to global businesses, including Bill Gates and Richard Branson. Shereen has won numerous journalism awards, including the FICCI "Woman of the year" award, and the award for Best Business Talk show. In 2009, the World Economic Forum also named her as a Young Global Leader.Shereen has been a big supporter of the entrepreneurial ecosystem in India, giving startups and entrepreneurs a platform to showcase their business on main stream TV. She has very successfully hosted the show "Young Turks" that has profiled 100s of startups and entrepreneurs, documenting the various struggles and successes of young entrepreneurs from all over the country. Shereen also has been a big supporter of TechSparks, profiling the various regional roundtables of TechSparks 2012 on the show. Shereen is returning to TechSparks once more for this year's edition, where she's going to be delivering a keynote speech. She'll be talking about her experiences interacting with global and local entrepreneurs. She'll give us her perspective on startup businesses, the pitfalls and challenges of scaling startups and how to interact with and deal with the media. As one of the leading media personalities in the country, we're really glad to have Shereen at TechSparks this year, and are eagerly looking forward to the insights she'll be sharing at the event.
