Windows 8 has created quite a stir and all are waiting with abated breaths about how it'll do. Many claim it to be the best thing that could happen to your business if you ride the wave early on and take the advantage. Taking this forward, YourStory and Microsoft will be hosting App Acceleration Week to handhold and help startups committed to build their Windows 8 Apps by providing access to Windows 8 technical experts, UI/UX consultants, Mentors, Investors, Sales & Marketing experts who’ll help and guide on app positioning and monetization.

With the Windows 8 launch just around the corner, this could be a great opportunity for startups to be one of the first few apps on the Windows Store which would ensure good visibility and better 'discoverability' which is currently like the holy grail for an app to become successful. The initiative will also be beneficial in terms of connections they make with the other startups there and all will have some very valuable inputs to take home.
