Amit Rawal, founder, Elitify.com is a strategy and technology leader with over 10 years of experience in managing and driving high impact technology initiatives. On reasons behind starting up, he tells us, “A passion to build something different and to serve and delight our customers is what drives me. There’s nothing that gets me more excited than delivering pure joy to our customers. Sounds clichéd, but it’s true. "
The reasons why they want men as their prime market are quite simple. Amit says, “I understand the needs of men better (comes naturally! However, my wife certainly wishes that I could do the same when it came to women :)) Amit also feels that this segment will welcome a site like Elitify.com because they have been neglected by the retailers and marketers. Amit adds “Men make decisions quickly, are more internet savvy, and more loyal in their buying behavior.”

Despite the proliferation of Ecommerce and rival specialist fashion sites, the folks at Elitify.com are confident of rising to the top. Amit states, “We believe that everything including the aesthetics of the site, our premium packaging, and the customer-first service are what will set us apart from the e-commerce clutter in India”
A hands-on entrepreneur, Amit talks about his team, “We have a diverse and an extremely talented team spanning across the world. The team brings tremendous experience in retail and other business discipline to the table. We are currently pursuing strong leadership candidates in the areas of technology and operations.”
Their challenges as a startup are very similar to most others. Amit reels off a few saying, “Finding the right talent – folks with passion, integrity, and good work ethic. Despite the large population, these folks are scarce in India and that is extremely disappointing to see.”
Currently bootstrapped, Amit mentions regarding funding, “Yes we’ll be looking for financial support but only at the right time and from the right partner. We are getting offers at the moment, but want to make sure we prove the concept and gain the trust of any potential investor before we take any money. This will ensure that we have our creative freedom to take this company close to our vision.”
Their goals are lofty and they want to be considered the gold-standard in online shopping. Amit has already identified areas that they will focus on moving forward, “We want to keep innovating in this area and we are working on several different exciting offerings for our customers – a concierge service, private label accessories, personalization, and bespoke clothing options to name a few.
