BigRock
A part of the Directi Group of Business, BigRock is one of India’s leading domain registrars and web hosting companies, powering around 7 million domains. BigRock has over 150,000 customers as of now. In an announcement today, Big Rock launched a new payment facility - Cash on Delivery (CoD) for its customers in India.

BigRock customers will be able to book domain names and web hosting products online. Users can pay cash at their doorstep and the products will be activated then. The service is expected to go live shortly. This is a first from a domain registrar’s point of view.

BigRock has partnered with Gharpay, an organized doorstep payment network to facilitate this service in India. The service is currently available for BigRock customers across 15 cities including Top-Tier Metros and Tier II cities. It is currently offered to customers in Delhi/NCR, Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Pune, Jaipur, Vishakhapatnam, Navi Mumbai and Thane. The service will be extended to other cities in the near future.

Today, 65% of BigRock’s customers come from cities other than the top eight metros and this move will consolidate their overall presence. Founder of BigRock, Bhavin Turakia shares their observation that even savvy online customers often prefer to pay cash on delivery for the products they purchase.

BigRock also recently launched a platform for Website Designers, DesignXchange. Also, watch our video with BigRock GM, Shashank Mahrotra to get more insights into their business.
