Indian Merchants’ Chamber(IMC) Ladies Wing has announced the invitation for nominations for the 21st Jankidevi Bajaj Puraskar – 2013 for woman rural entrepreneur. The winner receives a cash prize of Rs 300,000, a citation and a certificate.Criteria
The nominee must be an Indian woman. She should have made an outstanding contribution to business entrepreneurship by which rural India has benefitted. The candidate should be from rural, urban or tribal India. Self-nominations are also accepted.

About the award
The IMC Ladies Wing was established in 1966, to be initiated as a forum for creating social awareness. Jankidevi Bajaj Puraskar was instituted in 1993 – the birth centenary of Smt. Jankidevi Bajaj (1893-1979), with an objective to seek a close alliance with rural India to promote, support and honour the substantial work being done in the field of entrepreneurship.
Josephine Selvaraj was the winner of the 20th Jankidevi Bajaj Puraskar – 2012.
