MyLooka: A social ERP application high on mobile
A product of TNetwork Solutions, Mylooka is a social Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) application meant for small to large companies. Launched in January this year, MyLooka aims to simplify internal communication for businesses with a very heavy focus on mobile. The intention is to connect employees and departments for easy communication.
The company is founded by Neeraj Tewari who holds a Bachelors of Management Studies in Finance from Mumbai University and has had corporate experience of a couple of years before he decided to shift gears and startup on his own. During his last stint, Neeraj conducted a survey in companies using internal portals to figure out the challenges. He derived a conclusion that companies heavily relied on emails and it often led to bottlenecks. The likes of Yammer have implemented solutions long ago but Neeraj believes MyLooka still holds a chance.About the Product
At the heart, MyLooka is a closed network only for the employees and member of that company or organisation. This enables each employee to be connected with other employees of the same company irrespective of location, departments and designation.
Mylooka also makes it easy for HR to make communication easier. It takes off the load from email. “One can easily know which employee is on leave, who is absent for the day, can work on combined team task and much more,” says Neeraj.
There are some more features like file sharing, group game play, offers and deals customised based on the company which will be added in the product offering in due course.
The seven member team based out of Vashi, Mumbai keeps a clear focus on how mobile friendly the tool is. “Our focus is on building a strong enterprise chat system on mobile so that the team and the company can be in touch all the time and in a better way. We want to mix email and chat system on mobile for enterprises,” says.
Traction
At present, MyLooka has 8 clients and the target is to reach out to organizations with 40+ employees. Profiles of some of the clients they’ve acquired:
- US Based University Alumni Association in India with 1400+ active members
- Electronic card payment company with 300+ employees and 4 branches all over India,
- India's largest Instrumentation Association Club with 560+ active members and all are from top management of their companies
Mylooka has a fixed cost model (with a specific annual maintenance cost) with a variable component depending on the organization size. Bootstrapped till now, MyLooka is looking to raise investment.
