In the US, the practice of young, entrepreneurial people, high up in academics, is a common sight. The unique blend of young and innovative minds, equipped with the resources and credentials of academia is a great thing and the startup ecosystem on the whole benefits from these individuals.
Stanford Business School is well known for defining and laying the path for business studies for the new world and more specifically, entrepreneurship. Through their Global Innovation Programs, Stanford’s footprint is evident in every startup hub across the world. And at TechSparks 2013 Grand Finale in Bangalore, we will introduce you to one of driving forces behind the Global Innovation Programs.
Bethany Coates is the Assistant Dean, Global Innovation Programs at Stanford Graduate School of Business. This Princeton graduate finished her MBA from Stanford’s Graduate School of Business and has been with them in a professional capacity since 2006. She started her career in 2004 as an Associate with McKinsey & Co. Her journey with Stanford in 2006 began as a Case Writer and she went on to become the Director of the Dean's office in 2010. In a very short span of time, Bethany was promoted to the Assistant Dean, Global Innovation Programs. After having observed the Indian entrepreneurship at a grassroots level, through their Standford Ignite program, Bethany has expressed great interest in the Indian startup ecosystem.
At TechSparks 2013, Bethany will be a part of an interesting panel discussion on building global products and innovations that are relevant in any part of the world. With more and more Indian entrepreneurs building global products, this panel discussion will provide them with actionable insights. Bethany will also be available through the duration of the event for offline interactions, which is all the more reason for you to attend TechSparks 2013.
Catch up with Bethany this October 5th, at TechSparks 2013 (early bird offer ends on 9th September)
