Shop Pirate allows you to keep a hawk eye on coupons for etail stores which actually work!
While we have plenty of online coupon aggregators offering coupons across various online stores, there are very few which let you save money and time. I am a frequent online shopper and always look for coupons, but I tend to see similar coupons on majority of the platforms sans any focus on exclusivity.
To make your coupon search easy and handy, here comes Shop Pirate which allows online shoppers to save money and time. Unlike other coupon aggregators, it offers features like affinity search, intent categorisation, superior user experience, performance and making it available across all the major platforms (mobile, web and tab).
“Once I wanted to gift a cell phone to a former colleague, but did not know where to get a good discount. I used Google to get the required information and was thrown with half a page of Google ads of my current competitors’ websites. I went to their websites and searched all through but couldn’t get the information/working coupons I required,” says Kulpreet Kaur, Founder of Shop Pirate.
Later, she realised there was a gap as far as couponing was concerned and where no one was targeting the actual users.
Kulpreet has over eight years of proven expertise in marketing management, and has donned various hats and juggled several challenges at IBEE Solutions. After efficaciously serving her position at IBEE Solutions, she began to work on her brainchild Shop Pirate in 2013.
At present, it lists close to 400 stores on the website and importantly it doesn’t aspire to cover all online stores on the platform. “We want to save money and time for our website visitors, so we cover only the stores that give real benefits for our visitors. Our quality analysts go through each and every coupon we post on the website and make sure they work and save money for our visitors,” points out Kulpreet.
Besides affinity search, intent categorisation and user friendly content, it focuses on omni channel approach and making Shop Pirate available over mobiles and browser extensions. “Online store aggregators work in group buying model but we give whatever the content or coupons we procure absolutely for free of cost and no terms attached to them,” adds Kulpreet.
Recently, the company also raised Rs. 50,00,000 from Confidance Holding Pvt. Ltd. -- an upcoming investment firm.
The startup plans to use the funds for bringing more quality into the content and sprucing up its technology quotient. Apart from India, Shop Pirate also plans to launch its operation in USA, Canada and Australia among others.
