Envisioning 'Connected World, Connected Future' with Global Mobile Vision 2014
The seventh edition of Global Mobile Vision 2014, Korea’s leading mobile exhibition is all set to rock Seoul this week. The event features the professional mobile industry counseling exhibition, along with Orange, Softbank, Sprint, Huawei and other prominent mobile firms. The show exhibits and explores mobile platform/application/solution, Internet of Things, Cloud/Big Data, smart device, communication device and solution, and game contents.
"Global Mobile Vision 2014" runs at Hall 6th, Exhibition Center II, KINTEX from coming 17th Sep to 19th Sep. GMV is organized by Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency; KINTEX; and The Korean Institute of Communication and Information Sciences, hosted by Ministry of Science, ICT, and Future Planning; and Ministry of Trade, Industry, & Energy.
Different from the last year’s show that only offered counseling opportunities, this year’s GMV will extend portion of startups arranging additional startup zone and consulting zone.Thus the show will be the bridge-head for K-Tech Silicon Valley coming near future as introducing the excellent quality of Korean technologies on the show floor.
The managing director Joonghun Kwon from KOTRA IT Business Department said,
By 2013, mobile Internet use has already exceeded the cable Internet use, and even vulnerable IT social group, the middle aged, also made a record mobile use. This means that IT industry will ultimately walk the path to the mobile one. GMV obviously is teaching the right direction for Korea, the strong country of technology, to become a guru in mobile industry, and absolutely it is the bridge-head for another big event coming, K-Tech Silicon Valley.
The director concluded his confidence in GMV, "GMV has been and will be striving to take a one step further to reach our ultimate goal, Korea MWC (Mobile World Congress)."
Vision invites 180 different official buyers to achieve about 1,000 export counseling records every year. This continuous growth record has gained credit to become one of representative and confident global mobile events.
The conference under the slogan of "Connected World, Connected Future" emphasizes the importance of connectivity. Starting with the keynote address of CEO Sirgoo Lee from Kakao Corp., GMV is expected to suggest new agenda in mobile industry as featuring the panel conference with Google+, Baidu, Kakao and other major domestic and global companies, which will conclude the depth of the agenda under the theme, "SNS/MIM in the connected world". In the afternoon, successful examples and strategies will be brought to the audience by the professionals in the fields of mobile technology, mobile convergence and global mobile business.
"I'm a Global Venture 2014" provides a meeting place for representative startups and the world prominent venture incubators from Korea, China, Japan, and Taiwan, and Korea Big Data Society. Additionally, GMV will provide academic events, mobile test application seminars, and a conference about the case analysis of big data, and other exciting events are on the plan to meet the visitors.
Marketing for global companies is distinguishable. GMV selects the final companies among the participants for "GMV Award" and has invited global medias from 7 countries; USA, United Kingdom, India, China, Vietnam, South Africa and South Korea. GMV has carefully listed the applicants, and 7 global medias will assess them regarding their services and product quality during the event. Based on the assessment, "GMV Award" will choose winners.
