The second edition of the annual hackathon organized by Sequoia Capital, now called ‘Sequoia::Hack’, will be held at ITC Gardenia, Bangalore on September 20 and 21, 2014. The objective of the hackathon is to develop and curate an innovation ecosystem conducive to nurturing talent and ideas.

Sequoia::Hack will bring together over 500 of the brightest minds divided into teams to develop codes and create hacks across multiple technologies and tracks including payments, gaming, healthcare, analytics, social impact and open source among others. Over Rs. 25 lacs of prize money will be up for grabs at this intense 24-hour competition.

To facilitate a healthy exchange of knowledge - CTOs, architects and distinguished engineers from over 25 of the hottest and most exciting technology companies and startups in India and South East Asia including Appier, Druva, Freecharge, Justdial, Mu Sigma, Octro, Ola Cabs, Pine Labs and Practo will be available to provide mentorship to the participants. The participants will also have an opportunity to interact with CEOs, product heads and designers for guidance and help.

The event starts in the afternoon on September 20, 2014 and concludes 24 hours later with a panel of veterans from the industry evaluating the project and picking the best among equals.
