According to Ashish Dinkar, 88 million Indians connected to the internet do not have a simple way to access their favourite video content. This could be music, TV shows, movies and documentaries, or allied services like games and e-commerce, on a screen of their choice. He says, "I saw an opportunity in the frustration of millions of Indians who wanted to see content of their personal choice on television sets. Such content is often available online, but users have no easy, hassle-free way of navigating and consuming it."
ReTV, founded by Ashish Dinkar, Imran Ladak, Neha Sharma, and Pramurto Mukhopadhyay, aspires to solve this problem. Started on 12th October 2015. ReTV is an online video distribution platform for curated video content, music, TV shows, movies, games and e-commerce. The content is available on home screens as well as mobile devices.
It enables you to watch any content of your choice on your TV, without the need for any technical knowledge. The viewer can use the remote of their current set top box.
