Here are the few things that should ideally form a part of this much coveted routine.
Exercise
Get your gear on and be prepared to have your blood pumping because a study shows that morning exercises can zap your willpower and help in being more productive. It’s okay if you don’t want a long or strenuous workout, just a 20 minutes of yoga or half an hour of brisk walking can reduce stress and anxiety levels while boosting your mind for the rest of the day.
Load on food
Breakfasts are the most important meal of the day and there's a reason why you aren't asked to skip it. The kind of food you eat reflects on the kind of productivity you will harbor for the day. Food provides us with the energy that our brain needs to stay on top of a task. Try and eat the kind of food that has a little bit of everything. Eating raw, unprocessed food items like juices and fruits will really get you going.
Swallow a hard pill (not literally)
Mark Twain is famous for his advice: eat a live frog first thing in the morning. Of course he didn’t mean literally or maybe he did, we will never know, but the takeaway point over here is to perform a difficult task at the crack of dawn. The completion itself will give you a sense of accomplishment and act as a drive to keep your head in the game for the rest of the day. Just take out your 'to do' list and place the worst task in the number one slot … it might seem hard, but it’s not!
Take some “me” time
Many entrepreneurs swear by morning rituals that seeks to energize them for the day. A morning ritual helps you win the day. Find out what you love and start doing it over and over again, in no time it will convert from a petty habit to a ritual that will keep you diligent.
Scan your email
You won’t be able to focus on your day’s work if you don’t get on with checking the little things first. Some say that checking emails right at the crack of dawn decreases productivity, but the recurring consensus is that doing this gets tedious tasks out of the way.
Following these easy steps can help you have the kind of day you want to have in your mind, but remember to stick with it!
