ZOFF Foods raises $2 million in Pre-Series B round

Raipur-based spice brand ZOFF Foods has raised $2 million in a Pre-Series B round led by JM Financial Private Equitythrough JM Financial India Growth Fund III, with participation from existing investor Aman Gupta.

The funds will be used to expand offline distribution, strengthen marketing and sales, and scale its presence on quick commerce platforms. The company also plans to deepen its general trade network as it expands across India’s organised spices market.

GVFL leads Rs 36 Crore funding round in Aditi Toys

GVFL has led a Rs 36 crore funding round in Aditi Toys Pvt. Ltd., with participation from the founders’ family and friends.

The capital will support product innovation and market expansion in India and overseas.

Founded in 2015 in Rajkot, the company manufactures a range of toys and sells through 150 distributors and 15,000 retailers under its flagship brand Chanak.

Basil Health raises $1.5M to expand beverage retail network

Basil Health has raised $1.5 million in funding from Whiteboard Capital, Brigade REAP and others.

The company plans to use the funds to expand into new cities, strengthen its supply chain, invest in brand building and grow its team.

Basil currently operates over 70 kiosks and automated beverage machines across Delhi NCR, Bengaluru and Chandigarh.

Invention Engine portfolio startups raise $2.5M in follow-on funding

Invention Engine, a startup accelerator programme focused on the AI and deep tech segment said four startups from its cohort have collectively raised about $2.5 million in follow-on funding, marking what the firm described as a 15x multiplier on its initial investments.

The funding has been secured by portfolio companies Sonic Lamb, Cheerio AI, Desible.ai and Magicroll, spanning sectors including hardware, enterprise SaaS, voice AI and video infrastructure.

Among the startups, Sonic Lamb raised around $1 million to expand its India-designed headphone brand globally. Cheerio AI also raised about $1 million to enhance its no-code AI marketing automation platform and develop multi-modal AI capabilities. Desible.ai secured $250,000 and Magicroll raised $100,000 to grow its AI-powered video editing platform.

Invention Engine said the funding validates its “Lab + Accelerator” model, which focuses on backing a small number of AI and deep-tech startups and supporting them through product development and market entry.

Digital adoption platform company Whatfix has launched AI Roleplay training in its Mirror platform, expanding the solution into an AI-first training environment for customer-facing teams.

Mirror combines AI-driven conversational roleplay with enterprise system simulations, allowing employees to practice customer interactions and workflows in a risk-free environment before going live. The company said Mirror’s annual recurring revenue has grown over 200% year-on-year since the introduction of AI Roleplay in 2025, reaching $3 million ARR within six quarters. Whatfix expects Mirror revenue to triple in 2026 as large enterprises deploy the platform across customer support and operations teams.

Whatfix CEO Khadim Batti said the new capability helps organisations improve workforce readiness by enabling employees to practice real-world customer scenarios alongside system training.

Nuuk partners with Zetwerk to strengthen manufacturing capabilities

D2C home appliance brand Nuuk has entered a multi-year strategic manufacturing partnership with Zetwerk to build a scalable and cost-competitive manufacturing base in India. As part of the collaboration, Nuuk has appointed Sanjiv Rangrass as its Make-in-India Advisor to guide its long-term manufacturing roadmap.

Under the partnership, Zetwerk will manufacture select home appliance categories for Nuuk, including fans and heaters, with a focus on progressive localisation and scalable production. Tata Power collaborates with Salesforce to digitise clean energy businesses

Cadambi previously served as Senior Director, Finance at Commvault in India and worked closely with the company’s Chief Customer Officer organisation, leading financial strategy and operational alignment across customer-facing teams.

In her new role, she will oversee the strategy and operations of Commvault’s global capability centres, focusing on innovation, collaboration and talent development. Cadambi earlier held roles at Dell EMC and PwC.

Progcap expands women-focused credit initiative ProgShakti

MSME fintech lender Progcap said it has enabled over ₹10,000 crore in credit to women entrepreneurs through its ProgShakti initiative, aimed at expanding access to finance for women-led businesses.

The programme addresses structural barriers such as lack of collateral and limited credit history by offering unsecured working capital loans tailored for women entrepreneurs. According to Progcap, credit limits for women borrowers on the platform have increased by 105% over time, while nearly 90% of borrowers return for repeat financing.

Women borrowers currently account for 17% of Progcap’s portfolio, growing at around 40% year-on-year, with nearly 90% of them based in Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities.

DTICI appoints Radhakrishnan Kodakkal as Managing Director and CEO

Daimler Truck Innovation Center India (DTICI) has appointed Radhakrishnan Kodakkal as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer. Kodakkal succeeds Raghavendra Vaidya, who has moved into the role of global Chief Information Officer at Daimler Truck AG.

In his new role, Kodakkal will lead efforts to strengthen DTICI’s engineering, digital and IT capabilities while expanding India’s role in Daimler Truck’s global product development and technology network. He brings more than 30 years of global experience in engineering and technology leadership, most recently serving as Global Head of Integrated Technology at Whirlpool Corporation.
