Nischal Shetty is the Founder & CEO of WazirX, India’s very own crypto-assets exchange and creator of WRX, India’s very own digital asset. Already listed as Forbes 30 under 30, Nischal is a software developer turned entrepreneur. In his current undertaking, Nischal is responsible for the overall strategy, product, and marketing at WazirX. Completing his B.E. in Computer Science from Visvesvaraya Technological University in 2007, Nischal briefly worked with an MNC before finally joining Burrp! Working with a Network 18 initiative as a Software Developer, Nischal was part of the core team, prior to embarking upon his entrepreneurial journey. Nischal has already proven his mettle in the world of entrepreneurship, with a successful venture to his credit – Crowdfire. Launched in 2010, Crowdfire is an AI-driven marketing assistant, which is being utilized by over 19 million users today. As the Founder of Crowdfire, Nischal successfully raised venture capital worth USD 2.5M from Kalaari Capital in 2015. In his current endeavour as the Founder & CEO of WazirX, Nischal is pursuing a singular goal of building India’s most trusted cryptocurrency exchange platform and surpassing its competitors, in terms of trade volume. He first tasted the incredible power of crypto-assets, when he attempted Bitcoin mining, back in 2009. Ever since, Nischal’s passion towards crypto-assets and blockchain technology has only grown. Today, Nischal is a blockchain influencer on Twitter, with over 50k following. He actively engages with his followers by tweeting about blockchain, blogging on Medium and leaving a word of advice for the emerging entrepreneurs.
