Skyroot Aerospace is a spacetech start-up aims to address the rising concerns in the global space industry – to provide low-cost launch solutions to reach space in lesser time. The startup’s three launch vehicles – Vikram I, II, and III – can carry payloads ranging from 200 kg to 700 kg to low Earth orbit. Currently, the team is going to test a 3D printed liquid propellant engine and a fully composite (carbon fiber) and high-performance solid rocket motor. Besides, it is also in talks with satellite companies for signing up customers for its first few launches. According to Pawan, the start-up has exciting plans for new space products that will be announced early next year. Its rocket architecture is highly mass-producible and modular, where it can almost triple the payload capacity with few additional upgrades. The startup has received an undisclosed amount in funding from the Founders of CureFit, Mukesh Bansal and Ankit Nagori, who invested $1.5 million in June 2018.
