The Organic World journey began with the mission to make a positive and progressive difference in our world. Our goal was to be the brand that offers better choices for all our stakeholders within this ecosystem – the customer, the community that we are part of, the farms and brands we work with and our planet. We wanted to create awareness about the compromises modern life has normalised and offer better choices to empower our consumers to lead a healthy lifestyle. We offer “Better Choices” in food, grocery, personal care and home care range covering 2000+ products, to help our consumers move towards uncompromised daily consumption.
After a single-store pilot, the framework for an expansion strategy was set up in 2017. Over 2018-2023, 15 stores were set up in Bengaluru. Along this journey we have had several like-minded brands join us, from local brands and SMEs to women entrepreneurs. We have also revamped our e-commerce operations with a refurbished website well as The Organic World app – the most convenient and hassle-free ways to shop on our platform. The plan is to expand, not just in Bengaluru, but establish a pan-India footprint, through company-owned as well as franchise outlets.
What sets our range apart is that our entire assortment of products is defined by our industry-first “Not In Our Aisle List” – a list of 25 (and growing chemicals/ingredients) that we have banned from our stores because studies have suggested that they could be harmful for consumers. If a brand does not conform to these standards, you will not find it in our store. By ensuring the products we offer live up to a higher standard than industry-established ones, we truly offer customers better choice products.
