Infosys signs MoU with Aramco
Infosys and Saudi Arabia’s Aramco have partnered to accelerate the latter's human resource (HR) technology by bringing in new insights to HR data and analytics, scaling the use of automation tools, and enhancing employee experience through artificial intelligence.
Infosys also plans to embed digital transformation practices and tools into Aramco’s HR platform, enhancing the overall digital experience for employees to engage more productively. Additionally, the IT giant aims to leverage AI to further bolster Aramco’s employee learning and development experiences and reduce skill gaps to help Aramco unlock talent to match people to opportunities in the company.
The collaboration also intends to work on analysing how automation can optimise repetitive tasks related to HR management through AI-powered learning, reducing time and effort in training delivery. An AI-powered analysis will provide insights, track return on investment, and support Aramco with algorithmic decision-making to spot trends and identify relevant recruitment channels.
Adobe opens new office in Bengaluru
Adobe has opened a new office tower in Bengaluru with a capacity to house 2,000 employees. With over 7,800 employees spread across five campuses in the country, India is Adobe’s largest employee base outside the United States and a major hub for software innovation and business development.
“Adobe was among the first technology companies to invest in India 25 years ago. Today, our India teams are central to Adobe's global innovation agenda and cross-cloud leadership, leading the charge on our digital learning and print business, fuelling the development of products across the document cloud, furthering the reach of experience cloud solutions, reimagining our creative apps ecosystem with artificial intelligence-led innovation, and more," said, Abhigyan Modi, Country Manager – Adobe India and Senior Vice President – Document Cloud, Adobe.
In line with Adobe’s philosophy of ensuring all its office spaces are built to be sustainable by design, the company’s new Bengaluru office, among several environmentally friendly practices implemented across the facility, will use green and solar power to feed 90% of its energy demands and has 100 charging stations for electric vehicles.
Bharti Airtel partners with Secure Meters for IoT tech
Bharti Airtel has partnered with Secure Meters for deploying Narrow Band (NB-IoT) services to power 1.3 million homes in Bihar through a smart meter solution.
This deployment will be India’s first NB-IoT solution on a narrow band with a fall-back option that will work on 2G and 4G and ensure real-time connectivity and uninterrupted transfer of critical data.
NB-IoT is a low-power, wide-area, radio network technology developed by 3GPP, enabling a wide variety of IoT devices and services, including smart meters. Airtel’s NB-IoT platform is scalable to 5G, and its advanced IoT platform ‘The Airtel IoT Hub’ is customised to suit the needs of Advance Metering Infrastructure Service Providers (AMISPs).
Genzeon opens office in Pune
Tech company Genzeon has opened a second office in India located in Pune. The expansion aims to harness Pune's technology talent pool to accelerate the development of innovative solutions in AI, machine learning, and intelligent automation.
Over the next six to 12 months, Genzeon expects to grow its Pune team to more than 100 associates, focusing on roles such as product engineering, product management, project management, AI, data engineering, and data science.
The company also plans to hire AWS and Azure Cloud architects and other engineering talents. The expansion also enables Genzeon to accelerate development in its Health Intelligence Platform (HiP).
The new Pune office marks a significant milestone in Genzeon's business operations and expansion plans, positioning the company to better serve clients in the United States and worldwide.
