Global technology company Honeywell has appointed former Microsoft India head Anant Maheshwari as President and CEO of the company’s High Growth Region portfolio.

This will be the second stint for Maheshwari at Honeywell. In his new role based out of Dubai, Maheshwari will lead business growth across Honeywell’s geographies in China, India, Southeast Asia, Central and Eastern Europe, the Middle East, Central Asia, Africa, and Latin America.

He will be a corporate officer of the company, reporting directly to Honeywell CEO Vimal Kapur.

Maheshwari earlier worked at Honeywell between 2004 and 2016. He later became the president of India operations.

On the new appointment, Honeywell CEO Vimal Kapur said, “Anant’s experience over the last two decades proves that he has the ability to deliver impactful results for a diverse set of industries. He is the right person to continue to deliver our local-to-local presence and expand Honeywell’s business in controls and automation, software and digitalization, and sustainability.”

Maheshwari earned an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, graduating as an industry scholar in 1998. He also graduated from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, with a Master of Science in Economics and a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Electronics.
