These days schools use WhatsApp groups to send information to the parents about the college rules, exam schedules and updates on college events.

But if we want to send the same information to whole college students parents? So just imagine there are 1000 students in a school and I want to send School day schedule to all the parents. That’s where WhatsApp groups fall short. Or I could use WhatsApp broadcast but that has a limit of 256 contacts! But, this is time-consuming. Because of the all class teacher’s need to collect message details and contact details from the concerned person and need to add parents contact details in a personal phone and have to create group or broadcast and then send a message. Phew!

And still, there are so many colleges which don’t use this benefit from WhatsApp. As I saw every teacher have to call the parents to inform about student/parent council program and have to take the confirmation on whether they will attend the program or not.

Teaching job is hard enough as it is. Teachers have to teach subjects also besides that have to be active in other school activities, have to call and inform the parents and get the confirmation regarding some events. This really makes the teachers’ life hard.

Today, there are lots of new tools or software’s developed, by using that we can reach lots of people in a second. This is not only more effective but can be a great time-saving thing for overloaded teachers. WhatsApp marketing and WhatsApp Chabot are some examples of tools that could help.

Are you wondering what is WhatsApp marketing and WhatsApp chatbot?

Let me introduce you to these tools! WhatsApp Marketing is nothing but marketing or promoting your brand through WhatsApp. As I gave examples above related to schools, will continue with the same topic. For example, an academic year is going to start and you have a new course from this year. So how you will promote it? Using traditional marketing means you will put a banner outside the college or you will put an advertisement in the newspaper. But will that reach to expected admission rates? Maybe or may not be. But if you have 1000 contacts and you want to promote your course details through that then WhatsApp marketing will be the best tool. By using WhatsApp marketing tool you can send bulk messages to 1000+ contacts.

Now coming to WhatsApp Chatbot, it’s a WhatsApp autoresponder. For an example, if you want to invite parents to a student/parents council program and you want confirmation from them that they will attend or not. Then you can send a message by using WhatsApp Marketing like:

Hi, this is the call from “mention college Name” inviting you to attend the student/parent council program on “mention Date and time”. Please confirm your presence by sending Yes or No.

Once they send the reply it will directly connect to the WhatsApp Chatbot and remaining work will be done by the Chabot. If any changes in the schedule of the event or any other details about the event, Chabot will automatically send the update. It will work like if you subscribe on YouTube channel and you will get the recent video notification from that channel.

By using this tools teachers work will be made much easier and they will get the count of how many people are going to attend the program.
