Indian start-up ecosystem has really taken off and India is becoming a Start-up Nation. Young talents in India are moving towards entrepreneurship to give a face to their ideas. Gone are those days when consulting was led only by big consulting houses. Since 73% entrepreneurship in India are young founders falling under the age of 36 years, most of these entrepreneurs prefer consultants who commit to prove better with their actions rather than sci-fi decorative presentations which come with huge price. Dynamic approach, strategic direction, quality consulting at affordable price are the key requirements of start-ups to step up the ladder.

There are very few consultants who provide management growth consulting. For getting quality consultants, either prices are too high or quality is not everything they do. It was to deal with this challenge, two young Chartered Accountants Rohit Mathuran and Himanshu Agal started Easemint, a management consulting firm that serves small & medium size organisations including start-ups. They help organisations to decipher pain areas / bottle necks so as to achieve their next phase of growth..

Rohit and Himanshu left there high paying consulting jobs to build a Start-up for Start-ups. They bring in experience of corporate finance, transaction advisory, strategic consulting and assurance at leading management consulting firm Alvarez & Marsal and EY Global in India.

“Bain and Mckinsey for SME’s” that’s what Rohit and Himanshu put it in simple language. As per them, “Small companies can’t afford the service of big consulting firms, we provide similar quality of service at a price affordable to them.”

Their journey continued together at Alvarez & Marsal, where Rohit was part of Transaction Advisory Team and Himanshu was part of Corporate Finance Team. They have worked with some of the most prominent start-ups, SMEs, marquee private equity and venture capital funds.

While working with Start-ups and companies in growth phase, they have realised there are some pain areas that such companies suffer, like improper growth indicators tracking, lack of internal control for significant accounts, lack of resources for fund raise process or audit process. “We understand, these problems generally arise because the management is already over-burdened with day to day business activities and transactions and they do not have the bandwidth to step back and analyse their own business.” Says Rohit.

“To address these issues, Easemint provides solutions to assist organisations with the right level of ownership, quality and timelines that aligns with its vision and growth plans.” Says Himanshu
