The tour—Billion Reasons to Build—is likely to span across three months and will look to foster engagement through a series of workshops and events.
"A lot of the times those participating in events like hackathons, they are largely students... for them to save up resources, pay for travel, stay, can get really expensive especially if you are from a smaller town... so we planned the roadshow we identified 18 cities where we could do the length and breadth of India and go to the nearest city that we know has interest in areas related to Web3," Richa Joshi, Co-founder of Push Protocol told The Decrypting Story.
"Instead of asking developers hey come to Delhi or Bengaluru... we are going to their hometown and bringing the knowledge to them," she added.
As per Joshi, exposure to global projects continues to be a challenge for developers based out of India, which is what this tour plans to solve.
"We are trying to get this knowledge base in front of them so that they [Indian developers] have the same advantage as a global builder or developer that has the ability to travel to other conferences," Joshi said.
Last year, in April, Push Protocol raised $10.1 million in Series A funding at a valuation of $131 million. The round was led by Jump Crypto, with participation from Tiger Global, ParaFi, A.Capital, Sino Global Capital, Polygon Studios, Harmony Foundation, Wintermute, Zee Prime Capital, Woodstock Ventures, DCX Ventures, Alpha Wave Capital, Zebpay, TRGC, and iSeedVC.
